Tell us what you have and what you need
List your notes by denomination and quantity, your desired replacement notes, and your shipping destination. Describe any wear or damage and include photos of damaged notes for approval.
Wait for written approval
We will confirm eligibility, available denominations, and shipping arrangements. A request alone is not approval and does not reserve stock. Do not mail notes until we approve and provide instructions.
Ship your approved notes
Follow the instructions provided with your approval. You pay shipping to us and return shipping for your replacement notes.
Receive your approved denominations
After your notes arrive and are checked against the approved exchange, we prepare your replacement notes with the same total Goldback denomination value.

A few helpful answers.
What does a 1-to-1 exchange mean?
Your replacement notes have the same total Goldback denomination value as the notes approved for exchange. One 10 Goldback can become ten 1 Goldbacks, or vice versa. It does not mean swapping one note for one note regardless of denomination, and it is not a cash redemption.
Which notes are excluded?
Washington DC Goldbacks, Silverbacks, error notes, and graded notes are excluded. All other Goldback notes are accepted, subject to approval. There is no blanket exclusion for Alpha editions, AA-prefix notes, or sequential notes; eligible notes are exchanged at denomination value, without a collector premium.
Do you accept damaged Goldbacks?
Yes. Damaged Goldback notes are accepted with prior approval, provided they are not in an excluded category. Describe the damage and email clear photos before mailing. Wait for written approval of the damaged notes and shipping instructions before sending them.
What do I pay?
There is no exchange fee. You pay shipping both ways. Shipping costs and arrangements are confirmed during approval, before you mail your notes.
Can I choose my replacement denominations?
Yes, tell us your preferred denomination mix. We will confirm what is available before approving your exchange; the example on this page is not a stock guarantee.
Can I send my notes before hearing back?
No. You must receive our written approval and shipping instructions first. Sending a request is not approval to mail notes.
What if I have a large exchange?
Include the denominations and quantities in your request. Exchange size, shipping destination, and timing are reviewed before approval. Please ask about anything unusual before mailing.
